Our Design + Build services were tapped by the Open Space Institute to create a barn-like facility to serve as meeting spaces and overnight accommodations for their constituents. The structure is set in a field near Mohonk Mountain House, on a walking trail within a preserved land trust that extends from downtown New Paltz to the Mohonk Preserve. It features a zinc roof, stained cedar siding, and an all-wood interior. The non-profit’s conservation mission is reflected in the sustainable design, which meets Energy Star Standards.
